INGV Technical Reports : the INGV window on technological and research activities
Founded in 2002, Rapporti Tecnici INGV represents an important showcase that showcases the numerous technological and research activities conducted by INGV researchers and technicians, and not only. Its editorial typology, although not included in traditional scientific journals, is fundamental for the development of the Institute. Published in Italian and English , Rapporti Tecnici INGV is designed to also valorize those works that offer a significant contribution from a technical, operational or documentary point of view.

INGV Technical Reports are available online , at no cost to authors and readers. An editorial model that guarantees the maximum dissemination of scientific knowledge in a fair and accessible way.

Technical Reports INGV collects and enhances a wide range of technical-scientific contributions, including manuals, software descriptions, applications and instrumental innovations, and data collection techniques of significant technical-scientific and legal-managerial interest.
This dynamic, multidisciplinary archive is constantly updated with the latest research in the geosciences.
An interactive reading experience
The editorial model adopted by Rapporti Tecnici INGV is that of monographic publications distributed in flipbook format and in electronic mode ( e- only ). The flipbook format allows the dissemination of articles enriched with multimedia and interactive elements, while a special image gallery , at the time of online publication, makes all the images visible at maximum size, accompanied by the relative captions.
Maximum visibility and recognisability
INGV Technical Reports is identified by the ISSN code 2039-7941 , guaranteeing maximum visibility and recognisability in the international scientific panorama.
Each issue published since 2012 is assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier ), a digital “standard” that identifies the document in a unique and lasting way. A process of assigning DOIs to previous publications is also underway.
